The Old Pueblo Endurance Runs take place on a combination of Forest Service roads, singletrack trails, and sections of the Arizona Trail in the scenic Santa Rita Mountains of southern Arizona. Both the 50 Mile and 50K begin and finish at the historic mining site of Kentucky Camp (elevation 5,142 feet).
The 50K covers approximately 32.5 miles and features a unique route with a scenic out-and-back section to Box Canyon before rejoining the main course. The 50 Mile consists of two loops that share much of the same route, with a modified second loop to complete the full 50-mile distance.
Expect rolling terrain with rocky, rutted climbs and descents, beautiful desert landscapes, and spectacular mountain views. While the course is very runnable in places, the elevation changes and rugged footing make it a challenging and rewarding test for runners of all abilities.
Time limits are :
- 50K: 10 hours (6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.)
- 50 Mile: 15 hours (6:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.)
